Ignition for Marketplaces: Buy & Manage Tips & Tricks

Create Campaign

01

I can’t find my advertiser from the list

Make sure you’re looking for the Advertiser and not the Agency — i.e. the account the ads are going to run for. You can’t create a campaign for the Agency; instead you can select them as the billing account.

If you still can’t find your advertiser, make sure they exist under Accounts and are set to Active.

If not, and

  • you have a CRM connection, the accounts will become available once updated from CRM.
  • you don’t have a CRM connection, you can create the new account within the Ignition account form. (If this feature isn’t available for you yet, please contact Ignition Support.
02

I can’t see the agency as an available record for Billing

For an agency to be selectable in Billing, the advertiser selection must have an Agency → Advertiser relationship set up. Check the account settings and update, or request an update, as needed.

03

I selected an objective but the product I want to buy isn’t appearing

Products are associated with objectives and may not be available for your current selection. Either change your objective, or go to the Products tab to find the product you need.

04

Why is the product tile greyed out when creating a new campaign?

IF the product is disabled, means it’s not applicable for your Advertiser.  If you think your advertiser should be able to buy the product, check the Advertiser Type for the account is correct and update as needed.  IF not, contact Ignition support.

05

No Avails — can I still save my adset?

Yes. For internal users, saving an adset without avails is allowed.

06

Can I book the same product more than once in one campaign?

Yes. In the campaign flow Adset tab, select the Create Adset button and choose the product you need.

  • You can also add a new line item or Adset via Edit Mode.
07

I checked avails and the button is disabled — but I can’t save?

This usually means an error occurred with your key value selections. Choose different key values and try again. If you still have issues, contact support.

08

I can’t search for a specific postcode?

Postcode targeting isn’t available yet.

09

I can’t change the sell rate in Adset?

That feature isn’t available yet in Adset. The sell rate in the Adset is based on list price less any discount applied. You can change the sell rate manually in Edit Mode.

10

Do I need to go through Review / Submit if I’m an internal user?

No. As an internal user, you have other edit options in Edit Mode. Once you’ve added your adsets, click the Campaign Details link to view and edit your line items.  Here you can push to GAM once you’ve completed your updates.

11

I want to build my creative, how do I do it?

In campaign details, go to the creative tab and click on ‘Edit Creative’ and in the new window click on Create Ad Creative.

For now you can build your creative in ignition for Standard Display products, while the Ignition team works on activating other creative templates for you.

12

I just created my campaign, how do I find it?

You can easily find recently updated/created campaigns in the ‘Recently Updated’ tab of the campaigns menu.  Otherwise, you can search for the name in the Dashboard or Campaign Summary grid.

01

I made changes to my line items but the SAVE button isn’t enabled

If the save button isn’t enabled, it means you made changes to the line item that requires Check Availability before saving.  This applies to updates on start/end date, booked impression, booked investment and sell price.  Just run check avails to save your changes.

02

I changed targeting and location but I’m not sure if it saved

Updates to targeting and location forces auto-save, but recommend to check avails to ensure there is enough availability before pushing to GAM.

03

I updated my line item name but the Adset name didn’t change

That’s expected. Currently, updates to a line item don’t roll up to the Adset record.

04

My updates are finished and my campaign is ready to push to GAM — what’s next?

Click the Submit button and select ‘Push to GAM’. For now, the Review / Submit and Push to Salesforce options don’t apply for you.

05

I added a booking incorrectly — how do I delete it?

Go to the Submit Updates button and click Delete line item. This deletes the line and its related adset, and — if it was previously pushed to GAM — also archives the GAM record.

06

Can I do AND / OR logic targeting?

Yes — you can set this up in Edit Mode by updating targeting.

07

Can I do multi-group targeting?

Yes — you can set this up in Edit Mode by updating targeting.

I pushed the lines to GAM but I can’t see the order or order lines?

Check whether the Adserver link has been generated for your campaign — it’s the hyperlink in the top-right of your campaign details. If it hasn’t, the record didn’t push successfully. Please contact support.
